Jazz weekends at the Shang

MANILA, Philippines - Home to some of the city’s must-see musical shows and events, Shangri-La Plaza makes weekends worth looking forward to this month with an exciting line-up of entertaining and compelling jazz performances at the mall’s Grand Atrium.

Johnny and Jazz, featuring Philippine jazz band and regular Philippine International Jazz Festival and Fête de la Musique mainstays Johnny Alegre Group, steals the spotlight tomorrow, 7 p.m. The performances will be headed by guitarist-composer Johnny Alegre, together with Humanfolk and Absolute Zero.

Los Angeles-based group Rhythms Unlimited, known for its jazz kundiman numbers, performs in Jazz Rhythms on March 24, 7 p.m.

Finally, on March 31, 5 p.m., Jazz on Keys fills the mall with the soothing tunes and beautiful harmonies from a piano and vocals jazz duo.
