PMPC Star Awards for Movies today

MANILA, Philippines - Today at 5 p.m., the 28th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies will be held at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City.

“The awards night will be grander and bigger. Over a hundred movies were screened and nominated that proved that the Philippine movie industry is alive,” says PMPC president Roldan Castro.

Hosts of the event are Aga Muhlach, Derek Ramsay, KC Concepcion and Anne Curtis.

Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, Jake Cuenca, Maja Salvador, Matteo Guidicelli, Pauleen Luna, Ciara Sotto, Rodjun Cruz, Gab Valenciano, Robert Seña and Anja Aguilar will have production numbers. Opening up the awards presentation is Anne together with the Maneouvers.

Airtime Marketing, Inc. led by Tess Celestino is the producer of this year’s Star Awards For Movies and is directed by Al Quinn.

PMPC will award Eddie Gutierrez the Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award where Ruffa Gutierrez is the presenter. Director Marilou Diaz-Abaya is this year’s Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera. Cesar Montano will present the award.
