GMA News TV presents 3 docu specials
MANILA, Philippines - It has been a banner year for GMA News TV taking hold of the No. 1 in the ratings game and winning awards highlighted with five News TV documentaries achieving finalist status in this year’s New York Festival.
As it commemorates its first anniversary this month, GMA News TV presents three anniversary specials featuring timely topics.
First up is Sa SALN… Tapat Dapat! that probes deep into the subject of honesty, integrity and transparency in Philippine government.
GMA News TV’s primary offering will assess the compliance of local and national officials against these three values that they vow to uphold via their Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth.
Sa SALN… Tapat Dapat! will scrutinize how department secretaries, officials and employees of the House of Representatives, the Senate and Malacañang and men and women in uniform comply with the requirement. The special will also reveal the startling list of who are the poorest and richest in government service and will assess how truthful these claims may be.
The special report is hosted by Mike Enriquez and Malou Mangahas with correspondent Joseph Morong. It will air on March 18 at 8:40 p.m.
On March 31, GMA News TV will take its viewers to a memorable summer trip around the country via Travel: It’s More Fun in the Philippines!, the second instalment of the three-part anniversary special.
Susan Enriquez and Cesar Apolinario will visit Boracay. Kara David will don her scuba gear and take an underwater tour of Palawan’s world-class coral reefs. She will also visit the Underground River in Puerto Princesa.
Summer is also a time for bonding. Join Raffy Tima and Mariz Umali as they take a trip up north to celebrate the annual Panagbenga Festival and visit Raffy’s hometown in Kalinga.
Survivor castaways Maey and Betong will travel to other undiscovered destinations where exotic creatures abound.
With more than one thousand, one hundred island destinations, there’s no doubt that travel is truly more fun in the Philippines. It airs March 31, 9:45 p.m.

For its third anniversary special, GMA News TV invites its viewers to a buffet of nothing but the best food that the country has to offer. The most sumptuous meals presented with a dash of creativity in Eats, Truly More Fun in the Philippines.
Various signature dishes of the regions and the most mouthwatering seafood buffet, freshly gathered and prepared by Chef Boy Logro, await viewers in the much-anticipated special. The special airs on April 15, 8:40 p.m.
