Hansen Nichols at Metrobar March 14

MANILA, Philippines - He’s sexy. He’s cute. He’s somebody you’ll love to bring home to mama. But Hansen Nichols (photo) is more than just good looks. He sings and entertains.

“Always, I want to please my audience. I want them to feel good after an evening of songs with me,” says Hansen who will be staging a concert on March 14 at Metrobar, Timog Ave., Quezon City.

The concert billed, Hansen at the Metro will feature him in upbeat numbers and ballads. The repertoire includes, Rihanna’s We Found Love, Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are, Martin Nievera’s Kahit Isang Saglit, Ariel Rivera’s Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin and many more. “It’s a one-hour show. I would also love to do a medley of big band songs,” he says.

Growing up in America, Hansen came to the country to try his luck in showbiz. He has always loved to perform and has listened to the songs of Martin, Ariel, Westlife and ’N Sync. “They are my idols. I grew up listening to their songs.”

Call him a hopeless romantic, Hansen says there is one common bond that brings people together and that is love. One of the reasons why he has more love songs in his forthcoming concert. He has also seen how Filipinos celebrated Valentine’s Day and he was just amazed by what he saw. “Trapik sa Metro Manila. Everywhere you see flowers being sold. Filipinos have a unique way of celebrating important occasions,” he adds.

Hansen at the Metro is presented by Sir Boy’s Food Republique and La Carmela de Boracay. A Backroom production, guest performers are Bugoy Drilon, Liezl Garcia and Sitti. Tickets are at P200 each inclusive of one drink.
