MANILA, Philippines - PLDT and the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) took home four recognitions at the recently-held 47th Anvil Awards organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PSF).
PSF’s Gabay Guro bagged an Anvil Excellence award under the category PR Tools while its sub-program Gabay Guro Teachers’ Treasure Chest Training garnered a Merit award in the PR Programs category. Gabay Guro pays tribute to teachers and aims to spread the gift of learning. The program supports and uplifts the lives of teachers nationwide through livelihood projects, scholarship grants, English proficiency exercises and literacy training programs.
Another campaign that bagged a Merit award was PLDT SME Nation’s nationwide advocacy to promote entrepreneurship through technology, Bossing Ako. The PLDT SME Nation’s flagship campaign recognizes successful SMEs (small-and-medium entrepreneurs) as role models for businesses.
The 2010 PLDT Annual Report has also been recognized with a Merit award under the PR Tools category. Last year’s annual report themed Changing the Game sheds light on the changing telecommunications landscape and PLDT’s project implementation to push the latest innovations and technology.
