GMA News TV also presents the colorful Biography of Demi Moore tonight. Born Demi Gene Guynes in Roswell, New Mexico in 1962, Demi as a child had an unstable home life. Her biological father left before she was born while her mother and stepfather were both alcoholics. Demi dropped out of school at 16 to pursue acting.

The actress made numerous headlines with her high-profile marriages to Bruce Willis, with whom she had three daughters and the much younger Ashton Kutcher. Few remember that she had a first marriage to rock musician Freddie Moore when she was only 18. She used the name Moore throughout her career.

Addiction was part of Demi’s life at a young age. She was fired from the set of St. Elmo’s Fire when she turned up high from cocaine. She returned clean and stayed that way through a filmography that included box-office hits such as Ghost, Indecent Proposal and Disclosure. Demi was the first actress to command $10M for a single movie, though this changed after flops like GI Jane and Striptease. She made an unforgettable comeback, however, in Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle in 2003, upstaging her three younger co-stars in the film. Demi’s Biography airs at 10:55 p.m.
