MANILA, Philippines - Josephine is a typical homemaker who goes about her daily chores and lovingly attends to her family’s needs. Things seem to be running smoothly until a series of unexpected events shook her otherwise picture-perfect family. She is faced with difficult decisions if she wants her family to remain intact and keep them all towards the right direction.
Many can relate to what Josephine went through. Although not necessarily under the same circumstances, a great number of viewers, like Josephine, may have found themselves at the crossroads of making critical choices. Choices between what we know is right but tough, and those that are easier to make but less right. These choices are often influenced by our peers, relatives or even loved ones. Oftentimes, we feel the pressure to heed to what others say. It is in moments like this when we feel it most difficult to stick to our own decisions, just like what happened to Josephine in her story.
Heart breaking and definitely a tearjerker, Josephine’s story is a feature in the longest running drama anthology on TV, Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK). Sandy Andolong topbills the episode as the determined Josephine alongside real-life husband Christopher de Leon, as the emphatic Toto.
Champion co-presents the MMK episode. These days, only a few consumer brands adamantly express the value of making independent choices. The way the story’s protagonist stood for what she thought would be best for her family is also the same philosophy that Champion stands for — a commitment to providing only high quality products that Filipino consumers deserve.
Just like in MMK’s coming star-studded episode, viewers will see how making independent choices can lead us closer to our aspirations. Despite the challenges the game of life may bring, independent choices still hold the trump card that will help us get over these hurdles. And Champion believes that all of us are capable of making independent choices.
The episode airs on March 3 at 7:45 p.m. on ABS-CBN. It also stars Maggie dela Riva, Edgar Allan Guzman, Lauren Young and Jairus Aquino.
