MANILA, Philippines - CMajor7 will have a show titled Valentine Prom Concert on Feb. 17 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. It will be enveloped with music from the band’s Love Song Collection album and some contemporary love and fast songs from the ’60s to the present.
CMajor7 is composed of Melchora “Bobbie” Mabilog (lead vocalist, violinist, composer), Joseph “Brad” Mabilog Jr. (lead keyboardist, composer, vocals), Nico Evangelista (lead guitarist, composer, vocals), Maria “Maane” Isidro (percussions), Angelo “Gelo” Cristobal (bass guitar, rapper), Jay-Jay Flores (rhythms, vocals) and Josh Mabilog (vocals, rapper).
The band’s self-titled album consists of songs that reflect traditional Filipino values. Pandesal, for example, an original composition by 17-year-old lead singer Bobbie Mabilog, tackles the iconic Filipino breakfast staple.
Pinoy Idol is the band’s way of paying homage to Filipinos who have made their fellow Filipinos proud.
The band had its major gig last year at RJ Bistro at Hotel Dusit in Makati and have made the rounds of radio and TV appearances in RJ Sunday Show and in Underground Radio Station’s Pinoy Rock.
