MANILA, Philippines - The fables vocal stylings of Jacqui Magno, Louie Reyes, Pat Castillo, Ding Mercado, Eugene Villaluz and Ray-An Fuentes will usher in the year’s Valentine season with a special tribute to the ’70s era in Loving In The 70s at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan on Feb. 10, Friday and Feb. 11, Saturday.

All of these artists first made their mark during the ’70s as members of two great show bands. Jacqui and Pat started out with the star-studded Circus Band. Louie, Ding, Eugene and Ray-An were with The Minstrels. Though they went on to successful solo careers these past years, fans best remember them for their renditions of the big hits from the ’70s.

These are what will mostly make up their repertoire in the Valentine concert. Among the highlights will be the songs they used to perform with the Circus and the Minstrels. The Harder I Try, So Far Away, All of My Life, Wildflower, Betcha By Golly Wow, Somebody Waiting, Didn‘t We and many others.

Since they were also all at the forefront of the explosion of original Filipino music during the period, fans will also get to watch them do memorable OPM works like Umagang Kay Ganda, by Jacqui and Ray-An; Nothing I Want More by Eugene and Louie, I Don’t Love You Anymore by Ding and Pat and many others.

There will also be lots of reminiscing to do with medleys of hits by Barry Manilow, Santana, Sergio Mendez and great love songs like Endless Love, Evergreen, I’m Gonna Make You Love Me, MacArthur Park, Let’s Put It All Together, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and others.
