Basil, Rachelle Ann & The CompanY in concert at Resorts World Manila

MANILA, Philippines - Love songs will soar to new heights as great singing voices band together to bring Seasons of Love, a most romantic concert, to the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila on Feb. 13.

The Valentine’s Day eve offering from Viva Concerts stars Basil Valdez, Rachelle Ann Go and The CompanY. They are performing together for the first time in what promises to be a truly exciting show.

Basil first made his mark as vocalist with the famous Circus Band in the ‘70s. His solo career resulted in a long list of hits: Ngayon At Kailanman, Let The Pain Remain, Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan, Say That You Love Me, Kastilyong Buhangin, Hindi Kita Malilimutan, Lift Up Your Hands, Ngayon, Nais Ko, You and many others. His latest album Basil S. Valdez is another huge success. It has him interpreting contemporary classics like Kanlungan, Ikaw, Hanggang, Kung Ako Na Lang Sana and others.

Rachelle Ann is one of the most successful among local singing contest discoveries. She won the Search For A Star talent show in 2006 and has since then notched an impressive list of credits. She won the Silver Prize at the Shanghai International Music Festival with her interpretation of Vehnee Saturno’s From The Start. She made her theater debut in the role of Ariel in Disney’s Little Mermaid last November to rave reviews. Among her big hits are Don’t Cry Out Loud, You and Me We Wanted It All, Don’t Say Goodbye, Bakit and If You Go Away. Her latest CD is Unbreakable with the big hit Masasabi Mo Ba and her rendition of Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid soundtrack.

The CompanY is made up of Annie Quintos, Sweet Plantado, Cecile Bautista, Jay Marquez and Moy Ortiz. The group started when its members were college students at the Ateneo, before becoming the country’s premier vocal group that it is today. The CompanY is best known for its hit recordings of Filipino originals like Everlasting Love, Now That I Have You, Muntik Na Kitang Minahal, Pakisabi Na Lang and others. The group also scored big with its Lighthearted album series featuring foreign hits done The CompanY style. Its latest release is the a capella version of Pagdating Ng Panahon with Basil, which will also be one of the highlights of the Seasons of Love concert.
