MANILA, Philippines - The Araneta Center welcomes the Year of the Water Dragon with fun activities that spell good fortune.
Chinese New Year festivities will abound at the Gateway Mall, Ali Mall and the Farmers Plaza. Find out what the Year of the Dragon has in store for you. From health to money to love, know your fortune for this year by visiting the Year of the Dragon exhibits ongoing until Jan. 28.
Your luck may also just be hanging from the money/fortune trees at the Gateway Mall, Ali Mall and the Farmers Plaza. For a minimum purchase of P500, pick your ang pao from the 13-foot trees at any of the malls’ activity areas. Who knows? Gifts up for grabs include umbrellas, Chinese fans, key chains, fortune charms and gems and even a free consultation with a Chinese fortune teller.
Feel the festive vibe and join the lion and dragon dancers as they parade around the malls today until tomorrow, Jan. 23. Today, the lion and dragon dancers will be doing the rounds at the Farmers Plaza, Shopwise Arcade, Automatic Centre Superstore and Farmers Market. Tomorrow, they will be going around Ali Mall, Gateway Mall’s ground floor stores, Coliseum Circle, Rustan’s Department Store and SM and Telus arcade. A grand fireworks display will follow at 7 p.m.
