MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN Star Magic’s Piolo Pascual, Angelica Panganiban, Diether Ocampo, Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu and John Lloyd Cruz look forward to scaling greater heights this 2012.
Still Star Magic’s main man, Piolo greets 2012 with a very positive vibe as he is set to star in the new soap of ABS-CBN titled Padre de Pamilya with Christopher de Leon, Jericho Rosales and Maricar Reyes next month. After the success of his Asian tour in Malaysia and Singapore for his Decades 2 album, he had a US tour and did shows for The Filipino Channel in Kuwait, Qatar and Japan.
Also, before 2011 ended, he launched his Sunpiology 2012 and participated in Sunlife’s Sunset Run. Piolo also continues to be one of Star Magic’s top endorsers, doing projects for such brands as Myphone Mobile, Clear Shampoo, Centrum, Canon cameras, Belo, Quickchow, NTT Japan, Century Corned Tuna, Century Bangus, Century Properties, Real Leaf, Bench, GAOC, Jewelmer and Sunlife. He leaves 2011 with awards to add to his growing list including Hottest Male Celebrity from Yahoo! OMG Awards, a quintuple platinum award for his Decades 2 album and the Anak TV Seal award. He was also named as Culture Ambassador by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
One of the controversial stars of 2011, Angelica proves to be a force to reckon with as she starts 2012 with a bang. After the success of her Metro Manila Film Festival entry Segunda Mano, Angelica will resume shooting one of ABS-CBN’s newest teleseryes, Alta, with Gretchen Barretto, KC Concepcion, Zanjoe Marudo and Diether Ocampo. She is also set to do a digifilm and will be part of the Star Magic US Tour this year. Angelica’s regular stint in Banana Split also proves her versatility as an actress as she was honored at the 42nd Guillermo Box Office Awards, the Golden Screen Awards and the 2011 USTV Student Choice Awards. Angelica will be continuing her endorsement projects with Pantene, Ponds, Bench and Zest Air.
As for Diether, following the success of his teleserye Guns and Roses last year, Alta is now on top of his to-do list this 2012. Diet also continues to be the celebrity endorser of Pizza Hut, Bench, Celio and Oakley. Expect him to continue going to different places to visit beneficiaries of his KIDS Foundation. In fact, before 2011 wrapped up, he already drawn up a list of activities all year round for his foundation. He recently had a successful trek project in Aklan.
Bea, on the other hand, recently renewed her contract with ABS-CBN, and the projects lined up for her in 2012 include a movie with Star Cinema and a new primetime project reviving her teamup with John Lloyd. With the success of Guns and Roses, which co-starred her with Robin Padilla, Bea hopes to do more action-drama teleseryes soon. She remains to be one of Star Magic’s top female endorsers, lending her celebrity power to such products as Clear, Colour Collection Kashieca, Lactacyd, Olay, Pacific Blue shades and watches and 4G anti-oxidants.
Gerald starts the year right as his ongoing teleserye Budoy continues to garner high TV ratings. Also, his movies with Sarah Geronimo — Catch Me… I’m In Love and Won’t Last A Day — in 2011 were both box-office hits. Gerald, who was part of the Star Magic US Tour last April, is continuing his hosting stint in ASAP Rocks this 2012. He maintains a long list of endorsement duties for Globe Telecom, Blackberry, Mint, Century Tuna, Clear, Dermablend, Unisilver, Puma, Faces and Curves, GAOC, Bench, L-Time studio. A new fastfood chain endorsement is in the offing for Gerald this year. As an actor, he has made a mark in the year that was, getting recognized as Gawad Tanglaw’s Best Actor for a Maalaala Mo Kaya episode, the First Barkada Awards’ Choice Male Icon and Anak TV Seal Awards’ Favorite Anak TV Makabata Star for 2011.
