Ballroom dancing showdown in PBB

MANILA, Philippines - Housemates of both Team Wayuk and Team High Voltage of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited have started rigorous preparations for their much-anticipated ballroom dancing face-off tomorrow, Dec. 31.

In their bid to win the fifth major Kontra Battle and the P150,000 cash prize, the PBB UnliDay and PBB UnliNight housemates have been training and learning cha-cha, tango and samba routines under the guidance of professional dance instructors.

The physically challenged Naprey has also been attending ballroom dance rehearsals without his fellow Wayuk housemates knowing to prove that he is capable of going beyond his limitations.

Meanwhile, one of Big Brother’s   surprises will be revealed on Jan. 1 as some housemates will be given the chance to leave the PBB house and celebrate the New Year in the outside world.

Also watch out for 2012’s first live back-to-back eviction night on Jan. 2.

Team High Voltage’s Deniesse and Joya

The ballroom dance showdown is set to boost the competition between the two warring houses after Team Wayuk won in last Dec. 23’s Give Big Love concert battle, tying up the teams’ scores at 2-2 in the Kontra Battle series.

Judges Nina, Joy Cancio and Rowell Santiago had unanimously determined that the PBB UnliDay housemates’ numbers were more entertaining, hip and well-thought-of.

The concert was able to amass P150,000, which will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan.
