MANILA, Philippines - The New Year brings new hopes, new dreams and favorable changes in life. On GMA News TV’s Life & Style with Gandang Ricky Reyes on Saturday, Dec. 31 at 10 a.m., juvenile delinquents who are given the opportunity to have a bright tomorrow will be featured.

With the joint efforts of the Metro Manila Spouses, Ricky Reyes Foundation and the DSWD Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council, a youth development center called Bahay Pag-asa for the youngsters aged 17 and below, who had clashes with the law, has been inaugurated at Mandaluyong City. The event was graced by Mayor Benhur Abalos, the founders, GMA boss Wilma Galvante and various members of media. More centers will be constructed in other areas in Metro Manila.

“It is a pity that these minor delinquents are ostracized by the society. Young as they are and devoid of love and care from parents and guardians they become hardened criminals. In Bahay Pag-asa, they are introduced to livelihood training, given regular guidance counseling and honed to be useful citizens,” says Reyes.

Dingdong Dantes, for his part, has donated computer sets to the residents of Bahay Pag-asa recently. “I hope these kids will find work when they get out of the center eventually. It is a techie world out there so I decided to provide them with modern personal computers,” says the actor.

Life & Style, produced by ScriptoVision, also features celebrities who will share their New Year wishes for themselves, their careers, their families and for the country.

Meanwhile, Drs. X and Y will recommend new dental care procedures in the Dynamic Dental Duo segment.
