2011 Metro Filmfest 3-day gross: P245,996,361.15M

- Ricky Lo -

MANILA, Philippines - The ongoing (until Jan. 7 next year) Metro Filmfest has grossed P245,996,361.15M in three days (Dec. 25, 26 and 27), beating last year’s filmfest’s three-day record (P222,999,660.65M) by P22,996,700.50M.

This year, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), which is behind the annual event in cooperation with the local movie industry, hopes to surpass last year’s P600M gross during the official 10-day festival.

Here’s the official box-office standings of the seven entries, released by the MMFF executive committee:

l. Enteng ng Ina Mo – P91,892,997.10M,

2. Ang Panday 2 – P51,527,616.00M,

3. Segunda Mano – P46,931,780.05M,

4. Shake, Rattle & Roll 13 – P22,756,512.30M,

5. My Househusband – P20,839,817.10M,

6. Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story – P7,957,716.50M, and

7. Yesterday Today Tomorrow – P4,089.922.10M.

The results of last night’s Gabi ng Parangal are not expected to affect the ranking at all.

The grosses considered “official” cover only the 10-day filmfest and not beyond it when some entries go on extended run.
