MANILA, Philippines - There are Christmas Trees and Christmas Trees and then there are these…
Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim was guest of honor at the lighting of the fire-inspired Christmas Tree at the lobby of Pan Pacific Manila, assisted by the hotel general manager Richard Masselin. The tree highlights the lobby decorated with beautiful ornaments inspired by the hotel’s 2012 green-initiative theme ‘Save Energy, Save Lives.’
The 20-feet-tall floor-to-ceiling Christmas Tree is an eye-catcher at the lobby of Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City. It is made of blue-and-white crystalline balls and giant sapphire rhinestone. Guests at the hotel have a field day having souvenir photos taken beside the tree.
Also built from floor to ceiling is what hotel staff described simply as ‘an ordinary Christmas Tree’ at the lobby of Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City. There’s another one outside the hotel, called Tree of Hope, made of metal frame with twigs in the inner portions. Bulbs at P300 each are sold to raise funds for Brave Kids, the chosen beneficiary.
