Are Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz back in each other’s arms? Several weeks ago, Kuya Germs told The Buzz, that yes, Shaina and John Lloyd were talking and “magkakabalikan din yan.” The Buzz asked Shaina’s older sister Vina Morales during Derek Ramsay’s birthday outreach program on how Shaina and John Lloyd are these days. “It would be better if the confirmation comes from both Shaina and John Lloyd. Pero yun na nga nasabi na ni Kuya Germs, I guess ganun na rin ang sasabihin ko. I think yes, they are back together. Naku ako pa ang nagsabi. Ano ba yan?”
Vina always felt that Shaina and John Lloyd will eventually settle their issues. “Nakikita naman the way they treat each other. If they talked, I guess naayos nila. Basta happy sila, happy kami.”
John Lloyd is equally happy this Christmas. “‘Pag Pasko dapat laging masaya. It’s a good time to appreciate all the blessings.” He also admitted that he and Shaina have been spending time together. However, he would rather that he keeps everything private. “The best way to protect it muna is to keep it to myself and be as private as possible.”
Kris: ‘A friend all the way’
Kris Aquino may be the Queen Without a King, but she is still overflowing with love as her friends say. She spends her time mostly on her sons Joshua and Bimby. Her friends see how she pours all her time, love and effort to people close to her heart.
Vice Ganda: “She is such a great provider. Wala nang mahihiling pa ang mga anak niya. Higit pa nga. Hindi ko nararamdaman sa kanya na nahirapan siya being a single mom.”
Anne Curtis: “Her sons, doon niya binubuhos ang attention niya. It’s good that her concentration, her attention is not based on her love life but on her work, family and friends.” Anne also said that Kris is a friend who will stick with you for better or for worse. “She is more of a big sister. Paano siya mag-alaga as big sister is sweet, loving, strict. She always thinks about others.”
Vice Ganda: “Buong puso niyang ibibigay ang sarili niya sa iyo. Bilang kaibigan she is very generous. ‘Pag kaibigan mo siya, kaibigan mo all the way. Parang best of friends, parang asawa, mahal na mahal niya ako. Bahagi ako ng buhay niya araw-araw.”
Kris has also been spreading love through World Vision, among many other advocacies. She has been a big sponsor to 140 kids of World Vision. A workaholic Kris is known for being dedicated to her work. “Talagang mahal niya ang trabaho niya. Masarap siyang katrabaho at walang ka arte-arte,” said Angelica Panganiban, who appears with Kris and Dingdong Dantes in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Segunda Mano.
FPJ’s 7th death anniversary
Last Dec. 14, the family of the late Fernando Poe Jr. gathered together at the North Cemetery to commemorate his seventh death anniversary. Grace Poe-Llamanzares, MTRCB chairperson, led family and friends in the celebration. Former President Joseph Estrada was also present. “Marami akong nami-miss sa kanya. Mas marami siyang naitulong sa akin. Yon ang pinakamalungkot.”
Grace said that she misses her father so much. “Nami-miss ko yong panunukso niya. But what I really miss is the confidence na alam kong nandiyan siya.” Grace added that this year’s celebration is more meaningful compared to the past years. “Ngayon may konting sigla. Nag-umpisa ng maisiwalat ang tunay na nangyari. Thank you to the Department of Justice at sa ating Pangulo. Ang hinihingi ng pamilya namin ay iwasto ang kasaysayan that FPJ was overwhelmingly supported by the people.”
Susan Roces who was absent during the occasion had earlier visited her husband’s grave. “Pribado ang kanyang pag-gunita. Usually madaling araw, hatinggabi.”
Mario Maurer visits again
Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer on his second visit to The Buzz revealed that his bestfriend Bam is half-Filipino, half-Thai. Bam told him that the Philippines has big shopping centers, and that he should eat adobo. He also taught him the word “mumu.”
Mario has a girlfriend named Gubgib, who is also from showbiz. Yes, he is loyal to his girlfriend, he said. To avoid temptation, Mario thinks about the good times with his girl. “I don’t want to do it behind her back. If you like her to be honest with you, you have to be honest with her.”
Mario is close to his family. “Parents do not say they need you or they want you beside them. They just want to tell you stories.” He says “I love you” to his mom as often as he can. “Some people are shy. I just want to tell them that they don’t need to be shy to show love like hugging them or kissing them.”
Mario sees himself getting married someday and having two boys. “I would like to have kids when I am not too old because like my dad, he left me when he was quite old. He passed away very fast. When parents are not too old, they have more fun hanging around with the kids. For me, I want to skate with my kids and it would be great.”
