PULP features Lamb of God

MANILA, Philippines -

PULP

celebrates the holidays by making the early announcement that Grammy-nominated heavy metal act Lamb of God is returning to Philippine shores early next year, Feb. 18, 2012, for a performance with international death metallers The Black Dahlia Murder at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Tickets are on sale now at an early-bird rate of P3,150 (for VIP tickets) and P1,250 (for general admission tickets) at all SM Tickets, TicketNet and TicketWorld outlets.

So Lamb of God fans have plenty to rejoice about and will definitely have their fill on holiday reading as PULP editor-in-chief Joey Dizon gets an exclusive interview with his hero, Lamb of God drummer Cris Adler, who talks about the band’s latest release Resolution, its upcoming plans for touring and of course, its last visit to the Philippines (for the monumental PULP Summer Slam 10: The Apocalypse). The main feature will also be a treat to drummers as Cris talks about his current drum setup and gear as well. It’s the perfect feature to get fans all pumped-up.

And that’s not all for Filipino heavy metal fans, as international support group The Black Dahlia Murder also grants PULP magazine an exclusive interview to talk about its latest release Ritual, a definite must-see-and-listen for extreme metal listeners. PULP staff writer Karen Sy has the honor of interviewing drummer Shannon Lucas, as he talks about anything and everything there is to know about these seriously talented (yet not-so-serious) lads from one of the most-requested international bands by PULP fans.

And speaking of local shows, PULP also features this month, the official coverage of not one, but two exciting PULP Live events. First off, dubbed as The Great October Mosh, both The Acacia Strain and Everytime I Die delivered the goods to a small but tight crowd who head-banged to their hearts’ content. Meanwhile, for the pop music fans, Lenka Live in Manila follows as pictures of the young and young-at-heart are displayed in the pages of the magazine, as well as exclusive images of the Australian pop princess and the band. Do you see yourself in any of these photos?

Meanwhile on the local front, PULP presents Johnoy Danao, one of the hardest working performing musicians on the local independent block and formerly of seminal millennium outfit Bridge. Now going solo and pursuing his passion for music through a no-nonsense work ethic, Johnoy reveals the stories behind his music and career to PULP music editor Cris Ramos. And don’t forget to check out the exclusive coverage of the biggest most happening local gigs this side of town, including the recently concluded Tanduay Rhum Rock Fest 2011

Truly, it is an exciting year ahead for music fans as PULP also recently revealed The Big 6, the six international headliners who will be performing at the PULP Summer Slam in April 2012.

PULP Magazine is available in all leading magazine shops and bookstores.
