Surprise birthday bash for celebrity immigration lawyer

MANILA, Philippines - Celebrity immigration lawyer Jemela Nettles (in beige) was honored with a surprise (advance) birthday dinner recently at a posh restaurant in California. Aside from friends like Tim Evans of the US Immigration, STAR L.A. correspondent Raymond de Asis Lo and Hollywood-based designer Oliver Tolentino (below, left) who designed Jemela’s gown, others present were Jemela’s family led by her parents. Jemela has processed the ‘extraordinary ability visa’ for several Filipino artists including Marco Sison (and family), Miguel Vera (and family), Mon David (and family), April Boy Regino (and family), Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado, Jolina Magdangal and, recently, Nonoy Zuñiga.
