Art 2 Art bares Dec. episodes

MANILA, Philippines - Art 2 Art caps 2011 with another interesting variety of guests for its December episodes. Tomorrow, Dec. 4, host Lisa Macuja welcomes to the show classical pianist Jovianney Emmanuel “John-Em” Cruz. From being a child prodigy who did a command performance at Malacañang at six, Cruz has grown up to become a seasoned musician with a busy concert calendar here and abroad. He also mentors piano students at the University of the Philippines.

On Dec. 11, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares shares the institution’s priority projects and how they are working hand in hand with people in the entertainment industry to implement these. No stranger to showbiz herself, she also recalls seeing movie production first hand as the daughter of Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces.

On Dec. 18, Art 2 Art pays tribute to the late National Artist Leandro Locsin with inputs and anecdotes from resource speaker, architect Paulo Alcazaren.

Finally, on Dec. 25, the program presents its Christmas episode with a special performance of the UP Concert Chorus featuring well-loved holiday songs. Leading the group, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, is conductor Jai Sabas-Aracama.

Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company, Art 2 Art is aired nationwide every Sunday at 3:30 p.m., on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), and can be viewed simultaneously on Cablelink cable television’s Channel 9 and accessed on the Internet through the website http://dzrh.tripod.com.
