An acid test for AJ and Nadine

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Moviegoers will pass judgment on the Nadine Lustre-AJ Muhlach (photo) loveteam when they see the young stars play romantic roles on TV5’s newest series, P.S. I Love You.

This early, many people are already excited to see the young stars together.

“Of course, I’m so thankful to Boss Vic (del Rosario of Viva Entertainment) for trusting us with the role,” says AJ, brother of Aga Muhlach.

AJ plays Gabby Concepcion’s son while Nadine is Dina Bonnevie’s daughter. AJ and Nadine have eyes only for each other.

AJ reports that he learned a lot about acting from Gabby.

“I was nervous at first because he is Gabby Concepcion no less,” relates AJ. “But I didn’t have a hard time working with him. He gave me tips on how to play the role well.”

Nadine, on the other hand, takes her hat off to Dina. Not in her wildest dreams did Nadine expect to star with Dina, whose movies she (Nadine) used to watch.

“She’s a good actress. Her acting is so natural!” Nadine says.

Venturing into showbiz is a given for AJ, who wanted to enter the field since he was a boy. But he had to go to the gym and follow a diet regimen to shed a few pounds and attain his ideal weight.

AJ first got noticed as the most popular member of the youth-oriented group XLR8. Nadine, on the other hand, was a member of Pop Girls. She already had a couple of endorsements even before she entered showbiz.

“I wanted to focus on my studies,” relates Nadine. “But once I got an offer, I grabbed the chance to join showbiz.”

XLR8 and Pop Girls are both managed by Viva Entertainment.

The AJ-Nadine love team is also featured in the TV show Bagets, which is now on its third season.
