Busy Lovi

MANILA, Philippines - One of the busiest actresses today is Lovi Poe (photo). She shone bright in the recent movie My Neighbor’s Wife.

Most recently, Lovi proved her box-office clout with the success of her solo-starrer Aswang, with matching glowing reviews.

To emphasize how busy and blessed 2011 has been for her, she has appeared in six movies all in all, each time she plays a lead role character. She was in Temptation Island and she played leading lady in one of the episodes of My Valentine Girls. She displayed her craft as lead figure in Aswang and the upcoming movie Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

On TV, the GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) talent is likewise getting a good slice of the pie. This year, Lovi played lead opposite Richard Gutierrez in Captain Barbell. She was also in Mistaken Identity, a four-part light-hearted romance special with Rocco Nacino.

Lovi was also a popular cover girl (Cosmopolitan, FHM, Rogue, Meg and in GMAAC’s Profiles Magazine, among the nine stars).

Lovi is one of the leads in a new soap titled Legacy, in a love triangle with Heart Evangelista and Geoff Eigenmann.

Last year, she won her first Best Actress Award for Mayohan from the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, the same indie that won her the Enpress Golden Screen Awards also for Best Actress.
