The circus comes to Salon Spectacular 2011

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Salon Spectacular 2011 channels the breathtaking whimsy and acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil with performances that will be swinging from the rafters — literally. Hair Asia holds its prestigious hair and makeup competition and mega cosmetic trade fair amidst a dramatic mix of frivolous entertainment, inspiring talent and flashmob sales.

Street magicians, human statues, stilt walkers and jugglers are just a few of the sights that will enchant event-goers as Hair Asia brings the carnivàle to the World Trade Center on Nov. 15. Hair shows will be headlined by flamboyant and colorful creations by prominent local and international stylists as giant LED screens on stage and on the catwalk itself give everyone in the expo hall unobstructed and larger-than-life view from any vantage point.

Participants will compete in three categories: Ladies’ Haircut and Color Design, Gents’ Haircut and Color Design and Progressive Evening Hairstyle and Makeup Design. This year’s grand prize that awaits the supreme “shear genius” of the event is a round-trip ticket to Milan to attend the 2012 Hairworld Olympics.

As always, the Hair Asia Cosmetic Trade Fair portends to be a massive consumer coup with the attendance of thousands of hair and makeup professionals, industry retailers and wholesalers, salon and spa proprietors, merchandisers and buyers nationwide.
