Tuesday night two weeks ago when David Foster and his friends (Michael Bolton, Ashanti, Phil Bailey [of Earth, Wind & Fire] and Charice) mounted the repeat of his Hitman concert, Dr. Vicki Belo and her beloved Hayden Kho were seated on Row 1 with Jinkee Pacquiao — and how they danced to Bailey’s songs!
Looking up from his piano, David was so amused that he revealed that the night before, he and his fiancée Yolanda Hadid, together with Bolton and Bailey, had dinner at, as he put it, “Vicki’s beautiful home.”
Asked if she and Hayden discussed marriage (again!?!) with David and Yolanda, Vicki only smiled. The predicted date — 11-11-11 — is only eight days away, but Vicki insisted that she and Hayden haven’t set the date yet although they have been engaged since late last year.
“Basta, mauna na muna sina David at Yolanda. Susunod kami,” Vicki said that in jest last June during the opening of her clinic in Glendale, California, where David and Yolanda were among the well-heeled guests. David didn’t say when he and Yolanda are getting married.
At the dinner at Vicki’s house, Kyla impressed the guests when she sang I Will Always Love You (composed by David for The Bodyguard). Commented Bolton, “Kyla, you are amazing. You sing from a place where every singer should sing from.”
Incidentally, Vicki and Hayden are leaving today for L.A. en route to Las Vegas where they will watch the bout of Manny Pacquiao with Juan Manuel Marquez. Vicki confirmed that Jinkee is going to Las Vegas on Nov. 6 to give Manny moral support. She’s there for Manny whenever and wherever he has a fight.
“Which means that everything is all right between the couple,” said Vicki, referring to rumors that Manny and Jinkee are separating. “Otherwise, hindi pupunta si Jinkee sa Vegas.”

Guess what Annabelle’s birthday wishes are
“I know that a lot of people love me because they were there when I needed them.”
That’s Annabelle Rama talking about the dinner that she hosted on Oct. 27 (for her birthday which falls on Oct. 31) at L’Incontro Ristorante Italiano in Makati City.
“The Kapuso and Kapatid networks were well-represented,” she added, refusing to reveal how old she is. “As you know, ang daming bagyong dumadaan sa buhay ko ngayon at gumaan ang loob ko na nandoon sila sumusuporta sa akin. My true friends were there.”
Asked what her birthday wishes were, Annabelle said, “Good health for myself and my family. At sana, ilayo ako sa mga nanay na kontrabida sa career ng mga anak nila at sa mga talent na gumagamit sa akin.”
During a recent guesting on Startalk, Annabelle named what she called “stage mothers” — Nadia Montenegro and Heart Evangelista’s mother.
“May pangatlo pa,” she added, “coming soon.”
I have an idea who she is.
Oh no, is a third word war (against with third stage mother) breaking out soon?
What’s up?

• From reader Narima Arguelles Dela Cruz (of Vancouver): The author of the poem that you published in yesterday’s column (Gone Too Soon) is not Anonymous; he’s Michael Josephson, one of America’s leading ethicists. The title of the poem is What Will Matter. (Note: I got the poem from an estampita sent to me by a religious group.)
