Pacquiao-Marquez bout on HBO 24/7

MANILA, Philippines - HBO 24/7 is a documentary show that is regarded by many as one of the best ways to promote big-time fights. The series is composed of four episodes, the first of which airs four weeks before a mega-fight. The program has been mostly connected to boxing but they have produced one for NASCAR and two for ice hockey.

HBO has produced 10 24/7 features on the biggest fights in the recent years. Manny Pacquiao has been featured in four of those. He had an HBO crew following him around in his fights against Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao’s opponent on Nov. 13, Juan Manuel Marquez, has been featured in just one and it was to promote his fight against Floyd Mayweather. The archrivals have not appeared together in the HBO 24/7 franchise.

On Oct. 29, Filipino boxing fans will see the first episode of HBO 24/7 Pacquiao-Marquez. It will be aired at 8:30 p.m. Episode 2 will be aired on Nov. 5 and Episodes 3 and 4 will be aired on Nov. 12 starting at 8:30 p.m.
