Charo Santos-Concio receives Gawad Parangal award

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN president and COO Charo Santos-Concio (center) was honored for her contributions in helping Quezon City achieve its vision as a quality community in Gawad Parangal, the highlight of the city’s 72nd foundation day celebration. Gawad Parangal is the highest form of recognition that the Quezon City government bestows on its outstanding constituents. Apart from Santos-Concio, other awardees were Fr. Joaquin Bernas, S.J., Ramon Rodriguez, Jose Vergara, Dolphy Quizon, Cheche Lazaro, Fernando Seña, Lea Salonga, Dr. Rustica Carpio and lawyer Felipe Gozon. Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte handed the medals to the awardees in a recognition ceremony held last Oct. 12 at the Crowne Plaza Ballroom.
