KC, Paulo team up in MMK

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - KC Concepcion plays the role of a wife and mother in a “period” episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) tomorrow as part of the TV drama anthology’s month-long 20th year celebration.

With Paulo Avelino playing as her husband Romy, KC will breathe life to the character of Aurora, a strong-willed woman who stood by the man she loved and worked hard just to make her dreams for her family happen.

According to Paulo, working with KC was memorable. When he accepted the offer, he had no idea at first that he would be playing opposite the daughter of Megastar.

“So when I learned that KC Concepcion is the lead star, I carefully studied the script and really prepared for all our scenes,” said Paulo. “Before I met KC, I thought she was unreachable because she is the Mega Daughter. But when I got to work with her, I learned that she is easy to get along with. For three days during our taping, laughing and random jokes became our bonding moment on the set.”

Paulo also shared that he is thankful that he was given the chance to take part in the anniversary celebration of MMK. He said, “I’m a fan of MMK since I was a kid.”

Also starring are Dina Bonnevie, Johnny Revilla, Vangie Labalan and Nanding Josef. It is directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and written by Rose Colindres.

MMK has also launched its own website, www.mmk.abs-cbn.com, for viewers and fans to connect with the show in just one click.

The website is especially created for the MMK Community and is filled with heartwarming and inspirational narratives only the show can deliver.
