MANILA, Philippines - Larry Martin was named the first grand winner of ABS-CBN’s The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition in its grand finale last Saturday after losing the highest weight percentage among his fellow Fab Five contenders at the final weigh-in.
The 36-year-old former police officer bested Angela Lupango, Art Mendoza, Hazel Chua and Raffy Tan at last night’s final and live weigh-in when he registered a 39.61 weight percentage to weigh 154 lbs. from 255 lbs. at the start of the show last May. His closest rival Art Mendoza trailed behind with a weight loss percentage of 37.83 percent or 129 lbs. to weigh 212 lbs. from 341 lbs.
“I was trembling because I was always weighing myself before the finale. I knew my weight. I was only afraid of Art,” Larry said.
