Lovi: Regal's hottest property

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Lovi Poe is today’s hottest young actress.

Regal Entertainment considers her as its hottest property, what with the number of film assignments she has done lately, namely My Valentine Girls, Temptation Island, My Neighbor’s Wife plus her newest project Aswang.

Aside from being one of the female leads in her most recent project, My Neighbor’s Wife, she also received the Best Actress award from the Golden Screen Awards of the Entertainment Press Society for her  portrayal in the indie Mayohan. She is also a sought-after glossy mag cover girl and this month’s FHM cover.

Even with these achievements, Lovi remains humble, professional and serious with her craft.

She, too, has what it takes to dare and bare in movies or pictorials. Proof of this are her sexy billboards and the mature roles she tackles on screen such as that in My Neighbor’s Wife. The actress can be daring yet can still maintain that innocent aura.

This is why Regal Films’ Lily and Roselle Monteverde gave Lovi the lead role in the horror flick Aswang, inspired by the Peque Gallaga movie originally done by Alma Moreno. The role required the innocent but deceiving looks that Lovi has.

Lily and Roselle couldn’t have picked a better choice. Lovi essays well her character as the mysterious woman who comes from the side of darkness. Is she good or evil? The Jerrold Tarog vehicle will reveal the secret surrounding Lovi’s character.

Lending support to Aswang are Paulo Avelino, Jillian Ward, Albie Casino, Marc Abaya, Nina Jose, Joem Bascon, Precious Lara Quigaman and Bembol Roco.
