Erich for The Birch Tower

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Erich Gonzales has been talking about her new-found solace. It seems she has found a splendid residence at The Birch Tower.

Architect Dick Goduco II is the brains behind The Birch Tower, the first-ever 50-story high-rise condominium masterpiece offered by Mirobeni Property Holdings.

Having graduated from Adamson University in 1980, architect Goduco acquired his license in 1981 and landed his first job with the Department of Transportation & Communications (DOTC) where he worked as the area manager for the NCR. After a year, he pioneered the architecture course program of Rizal Technological Institute. Having established the said program, he set off to the US to put up the Manpower Development Resources for the Federated State of Micronesia’s Department of Labor through the personal recommendation of then ambassador Purisimo de Peralta.

Seasoned with experience, architect Goduco decided to established his own architecture firm — Dick Goduco Design Associates (DGDA). Feats then stormed in as the architect continued to establish himself through great endeavors. His projects consisted of the Makati Central Police Station, San Beda Sports Complex, De La Salle University’s Graduate School Building, and he even won the building design bid for the World Health Organization (WHO) which was constructed and is now located in United Nations Avenue. He was the only Asian/Filipino who was featured in the Building Journal of China. He was also responsible for the Pohnpei Apprenticeship Act of 1990 that was passed by the congress during his stay in the Federated State of Micronesia.

In the second quarter of 2008, through a business relationship that evolved into friendship, architect Goduco was asked to do the concept of Mirobeni Property Holdings’ first-ever project — The Birch Tower. “This is the first high-rise design that I can call my own,” said Goduco.
