MANILA, Philippines - As the much-awaited Pilipinas Got Talent grand finals nears, the selection of the grand finalists by the judges and the viewing public gets tougher as more diverse acts compete week by week. Shadow play act El Gamma Penumbra, contemporary dancers Lucky Twins, reggae band Sandugo Band and Pinay-Nigerian diva Muriel Lomadilla already made it through and this week, six new acts will battle to get the public and the judges’ votes.
They are (clockwise, from top left) acrobatic group Synergy, 44-year-old rocker Lyn del Rosario, contortionists Gensan Contorionist, all-girl group Jive Dancers, kid belter Rhonsben Jonota and acoustic brothers Jefferson and Kurt Bringas. It also ruled last Sunday when the show rated at 23.3 percent nationally versus Protege (14.8 percent), according to Kantar Media/TNS.
