Muziklaban sets deadline for entries

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban Rock Challenge, the country’s leading amateur rock band competition, has set the deadline for submission of entries on Sept. 30.

Now on its 13th year, Red Horse Beer Muziklaban continues the search for the next generation of rock gods ready to take centerstage and claim nationwide fame. The competition is open to all amateur rock bands. To join, bands must submit an entry form, a demo tape containing an original composition, a Red Horse Beer jingle composition and a cover of a song by a local or foreign artist, along with pictures of each band member and 10 crowns of Red Horse Beer per member.

Entry forms may be sent online at www.redhorsebeer.com or through Facebook and YouTube. Though call for entries is until Sept. 30, interested bands can still join by participating in nationwide auditions. Just log on to www.redhorsbeer.com for the schedules. Opening the doors for the healthy competition are Red Horse Beer brand ambassadors Mayonnaise and Slapshock whose studios are now part of the audition venues (Mayonnaise’s Yellow Room in Alabang and Slapshock’s Shock Sounds Recording Studio in Quezon City).

Eliminations will be held nationwide beginning October, followed by the semifinals in November.

The winning band will be awarded a cash prize of P500,000, tax free, and another P500,000 worth of deals from Red Horse Beer amounting to P1M. For details, contact Rona Beano at 0916-6446778, or log on to www.redhorsebeer.com.
