'Father of Philippine Visual Poetry'

MANILA, Philippines - Doc Penpen B. Takipsilim was warded as ‘The Father of Philippine Visual Poetry’ in a fitting ceremony held at the grand ballroom of Cloud 9 last Aug. 28. With him are (from left) Ceri Naz, a poetess; Manny Calpito, owner of US-based OTUSA Internet Television and a veteran broadcaster from the Philippines; and Manny Luzon of 91.5, 107.55 and DWKY Rock Station. Doc Penpen is coming out with a collection of 50 visual poems described as ‘delicious morsels from his personal beliefs and convictions.’
