Pizza Hut brings joy to orphans

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The warmth of giving was felt early this year for the orphaned children, when Pizza Hut held its charity event at Asociacion de Damas Filipinas last month. It was part of its Hot on the Dot campaign. Eager to give back to the community, Pizza Hut organized the biggest gathering of delivery riders in the Philippines to feed and to touch the lives of the orphaned children.

Headed by Pizza Hut Philippines VP for marketing Elaine Guzman; operations manager for delivery, Choc Blanco; marketing manager Edgar Allan Caper; delivery marketing manager Tina Oballo, Pizza Hut brought joy to the orphaned children residing at settlement house. Elaine said, “We organized the event so that we could touch the lives of these children. We want to show that we are not only Hot on the Dot with our delivery, but we are also hot in helping others and we are quite grateful that Asociacion de Damas Filipinas welcomed us today for this event.”

The program prepared by Pizza Hut placed the children’s happiness above everything else, which included games to engage the members of the Pizza Hut family with the children. The venue was filled with smiles coming from the children, Pizza Hut family, and the officials of Asociacion de Damas Filipinas. The games were followed by the pizza party which was initiated by a Thanks giving prayer, led by a little girl from the settlement house. Pizza Hut brought some of signature dishes, highlighted by the famous family pan pizza which was oven hot, proven when the thermal Hot Dot changed from black to grey, with Hot printed in bold red, once it was placed on the box.
