3 prize-winning artists at Bahay Kalinaw

MANILA, Philippines - Music News mounts its 10th intimate concert series tonight at 7 at the UP Balay Kalinaw with the performance of violinist Joseph Esmilla, cellist Victor Michael Coo and pianist Rudolf Golez who will interpret works by Paul Schoenfield, Piazzola and Mendelssohn.

Esmilla, Golez and Coo will see the performance of a trio sonata which is the dominating genre in chamber music.

Esmilla reveals the magic of chamber music saying, “To me, chamber music is the highest form of musical art. But to succeed in this art form requires finding musicians who are equal partners musically and technically which is a task easier said than done. But once you find them, concertizing becomes not only artistically rewarding but socially a blast!”

Ticket prices are P1,000 (first three rows), P500 (free seating) and P300 (for students). Balay Kalinaw is located at Guerrero cor. Dagohoy Sts., University of the Philippines campus, Diliman, Quezon City.
