Solenn goes for the perfect mix

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - If there’s one thing that sets Solenn Heussaff far apart from the current crop of showbiz it-girls, it’s her versatility. The Filipino-French beauty has brains, and a creative bent that has seen her successfully mixing different interests — fashion design, modeling, painting, makeup, reality TV, being a video jock, singing and acting.

That’s why when Ginebra San Miguel, Inc. (GSMI), maker of some of the country’s top liquor brands, set out to launch its new Antonov Vodka Mixed Drinks line, Solenn was top-of-mind as endorser.

“The different sides of her personality make her an exciting brand ambassador for Antonov Vodka Mixed Drinks,” says GSMI marketing manager Nelson Elises. “Based on our research, Solenn is the best choice to promote our product. The compatibility between Antonov and Heussaff was simply too hard to ignore,” he added.

He also said that Solenn’s endorsement of Antonov Vodka Mixed Drinks, which are now out in the market, will create the same impact as when Anne Curtis endorsed GSM Blue.

Solenn, who was officially welcomed by the Ginebra organization at an exclusive annual event for dealers, said she was thankful for the opportunity to promote Antonov.

“I am happy to endorse Antonov. It’s definitely my kind of drink and should be the next big thing for Filipinos who love to party instantly,” said Solenn, who particularly likes Antonov Apple and new variants Ice and Mandarin Orange.

The major endorsement deal comes at the heels of a string of showbiz successes for Solenn, who has appeared in successful GMA 7 shows and is included in the remake of Temptation Island.

She has also graced the cover of For Him Magazine (FHM).

At 24, she has already worked on projects in Thailand, China, Malaysia, and Singapore. Her training in fashion design in Paris also came in handy when she worked for Lulu Tan Gan.

Her interest in creative pursuits runs in the genes. Her father, Louis Paul Heussaff, has many relatives who are painters, while her mother Cynthia Adea’s relatives are sculptors.
