MANILA, Philippines - Trust Filipinos in thinking of ways to turn garbage into eco-friendly creations that will be discussed tonight on GMA 7’s Mel & Joey.
Hosts Mel Tiangco and Joey de Leon will introduce some Pinoys whose creations are lauded not only here in the country but in foreign countries as well. You will be amazed to see world-class furniture, home decors and elegant chandeliers made of discarded cartons. And it is interesting to learn that used cooking oil can be turned into gasoline.
Did you know that every year the number of out-of-school youngsters increase tremendously? No wonder you can read in the papers the crimes some street children commit. In this connection the Tuloy Bata Foundation located at the Smokey Mountain in Tondo, Manila came to being to give support and proper education to them.
Guesting on the show are some of the foundation’s wards who will share what they have learned, the wonderful changes in their lives and wish to become good citizens of the land now.
