MANILA, Philippines - The Superhero ng Bayan Photokomiks is the country’s newest comicbook, with the Power Magician introduced as its first superhero.
With its mission of providing valuable entertainment to help keep kids from bad vices, what makes this comicbook different is that it doesn’t contain illustrations, but photos of living characters. The first superhero, the Power Magician, uses mind power to fight evil and to help those in need. Also, the Power Magician travels to different places searching for undiscovered superheroes to help his mission.
The Power Magician is portrayed by Sonny Miñoza, who is known as one of the country’s top mentalists and magicians. Sonny has been doing his Power Magician Live! Mall Tour these past few months and more shows are to come.
Since its launch on ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda, HERO TV and other show tours last summer, thousands of kids have already received a copy of the comicbook, which is being given to them for free.
Meanwhile, the Power Magician is searching for new superheroes who will join his next adventure.
Create your original superhero and post the name, power and personal mission (example: fight against drugs) on the Facebook page: Facebook.com/Superhero Ng Bayan, and “Like” the page. Another way of submitting an entry is via e-mail at sbbnprods@yahoo.com.
The first 100 creations that will be chosen will be presented in the next round, which will be done in a mall. The winners will be immortalized in the next issue of Superhero Ng Bayan Photokomiks and will receive exciting prizes from the sponsors.
