The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Readers of Sharon At Home are in for a treat as Sharon Cuneta and Judy Ann Santos display their cooking talent through dishes they themselves prepared. Editor-in-chief Sharon shares her Glazed Luncheon Meat recipe, her take on her Tita Helen Gamboa’s dish which was one of her favorite childhood treats.

Though adept in preparing gourmet dishes and baked goodies, Sharon offers easy-to-make brunch menu. She also has her Asparagus Omelette and Sardines Pasta.

Judy Ann, on the other hand, who studied at Gene Gonzalez’s Center for Asian Culinary Studies, presents her recipe for Shrimp A La Juday. The actress, writing in her column Simple Lang! for the magazine, says the dish is a blockbuster at family gatherings, especially during summer picnics. She also shares helpful tips when buying seafood.

The magazine’s Chronicles offers a behind-the-scenes peek at Sharon’s latest showbiz activities, known the soon-to-premiere The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition which she is hosting. There is also a feature on Star Power champion Angeline Quinto who relates how Sharon was as a mentor to her and the other four finalists as the competition unfolded.

In Sharon’s Favorites, Sharon lists her top destination spots here and abroad, and her current reading fare and listening music. Sharon also shares a secret passion — drawing.      Her illustrations of flowers and other designs can now be found on the pages of her magazine.

In the latest issue, Sharon writes her Reflections on motherhood and on Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan as a dad.
