Artists group mounts benefit concert

MANILA, Philippines - Mahasurya, Inc. is a progressive thinking, non-stock and non-profit organization dedicated to the study and promotion of music, arts and culture. It is composed of musicians, artists, poets and progressive-thinking individuals. Membership is for free as long as one contributes his talents and skills to promote Filipino music, arts and culture. 

The main goal of Mahasurya, Inc. is to serve the Filipino youth, with the vision to uplift the image of Filipinos. It also aims to support local artists and musicians. And most importantly, the group hopes to “uplift the consciousness of the Filipino youth by gaining a deeper understanding of the self through music, arts and culture.”

Mahasurya, Inc. will have a concert for a cause titled A Night to Enjoy 100% Jazz, Reggae, Blues and Rock and Roll at the Disco Area, Quezon City Memorial Circle, from 6 p.m. onwards on May 21. It features fresh and talented musicians and artists like Coffee Break Island, Orlando, Arjay and VJ, Ansyl Yap, Anak, Doki, Pale Yellow Light and BalyaSurya. The proceeds of the event will be used to run a series of free workshops to selected public high schools and colleges in Metro Manila.
