Stars galore at 6th Puregold Convention

MANILA, Philippines - The 6th Tindahan ni Aling Puring “Sari-sari Store Convention” promises to be a gathering of stars with several big names in the entertainment industry confirming their attendance as the biggest gathering of entrepreneurs and business experts unfold next Wednesday, May 18, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

Eat, Bulaga! hosts Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon and mainstays Jose Manalo and Ruby Rodriguez and top Puregold officials will be on hand to usher in guests and Puregold Tindahan ni Aling Puring Club members alike on opening day that starts 9 a.m.

King of Talk Boy Abunda and several movie stars are also expected to grace the event.

In consonance with the trying times, the sixth edition aptly carries the theme SIKAP Sari-Sari Store, Itaguyod Kasama ang Puregold.

The celebrities are also proud endorsers of Puregold, believing in its mission to provide Filipinos with their own small- and medium-scale business, like sari-sari stores though its Tindahan ni Aling Puring Program.

Vice president Jejomar Binay has been invited guest of honor and speaker during the opening ceremony while several big names and business experts Francisco Colayco, Chinkee Tan, Francis Kong, Lloyd Luna and Jojo Baldo will give talks on the different aspects of entrepreneurship.

Colayco will tackle the topic Pisobilities – Pera Ko Palaguin Ko, while Tan will talk about Good Credit = Good Buisness: Ang mabuting utang ay magandang puhunan.

 Kong will expound on the topic Be the best that you can be: Ako at ang sari-sari store ko – D’Best!, Luna will speak about Ang sikreto ng tagumpay SIKAP ang kasagutan and Baldo will discuss Bro! Ang sandalan ko sa negosyo.

The event’s mission is to bring out the entrepreneur in every Filipino by encouraging them to engage in small-scale business like the sari-sari store to eke out a living in this trying times.

Also expected to join the event are 150,000 active members of Puregold’s Tindahan ni Aling Puring club.

Non-member who are interested to put up a business can join the event for free on May 20 and 21 where they can get expert advice on what kind of small-scale enterprise to put up with the help of Puregold.

This year’s convention will be participated in by over 200 Puregold trade partners and will showcase over 350 booths.

Attendees are also in for a lot of surprises like free items, sampling, exciting raffle prizes and big discounts on products.
