MANILA, Philippines - The Mall of Asia plays host to the biggest music tribute to Mother Earth. More than 100 musicians are expected to gather today to show support for the movement creating awareness on environmental conservation and preservation.
Spearheaded by Philippine rock icon Lou Bonnevie, the recipient of the Fr. Neri Satur award for Environmental Heroism given by the NCCA, UNESCO, Climate Institute and DepEd, and her production outfit Dimitri Productions, Earthday Jam is on its 11th year and shows no signs of slowing down.
The highly-anticipated one night musical marathon explodes with the performances of some of the Philippines most popular artists that are bound to be extremely wild and fun starting at 6 p.m. Jam with 6Cyclemind, Bloomfields, Brigada, Franco, Imago, Lou, Nina, Rivermaya, Session Road, Sitti, Skabeche, Spongecola, Tanya Markova, The Dawn and many more.
For very useful information and Earth Day tips, resource speakers representing environmental NGO organizations and volunteers from the civic society will be at hand. Major supporters such as DENR, the National Solid Waste Management Commission, Tourism Infrastructure & Enterprise Zone Authority and the Earth Day Network Philippines will open exhibit booths at 4 p.m.
