Vic says follow-up film with Bea possible

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda -

Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak is making a killing at the tills. Congratulations to the tandem of Vic Sotto and Bea Alonzo. The movie, which opened Saturday, is raking it in at the box-office. It is not far-fetched that a follow-up movie would be in the works. “I won’t have second thoughts of doing another movie with Bea Alonzo. We really had fun doing Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak. She is so nice to be with, a very nice lady at magaling siya makisama. Malamang na mauulit,” said Vic.

Vic said he will surely miss the cast. “Lahat sila, especially Bea. Madalas kami nagkakakwentuhan. Si Pokie, magaling magluto at maalalahanin. I also miss the kids because I feel good working with children. Ibang level ang pag-iisip nila lalo na itong si Zaijian at Xyriel.”

As for Bea, what she will miss most about working on the movie is the “kakulitan.” “But definitely, the memories, I will keep.”

What John Lloyd, Angel have in common

Robin planning appeal to Vatican

Have Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla lost any hope that they will ever be married in a Catholic ceremony? Mariel dreamed of a Catholic church wedding after her much-publicized Muslim wedding rites. And here’s the glitch. They received a paper from Archbishop Oscar Cruz containing rules on Catholic Church marriages. “There is a part there that says that you cannot marry if you are of different religion. Yong pinaka-last dun pwede daw magpakasal if I choose to convert. Bakit ganun? Sa Islam nga walang pilitan bakit sa Catholic meron. So, I don’t think I’m gonna do that,” explained Mariel.

While she is saddened that she cannot have her dream church wedding, Mariel is consoled by the fact that her family is really behind her. “My lolo sent me a message saying, ‘Don’t worry about your church wedding. What is important is that you are happy with your marriage.’ I was so touched by his gesture. Sinusuportahan ako ng pamilya ko.”

Robin according to some sources is planning to write the Vatican to persuade the church that they be allowed to marry.
