Mercator's World Premiere

MANILA, Philippines - Mercator Artist & Model Management, Inc. is launching the newest documentary travel show to hit the country, World Premiere. It is a blog-inspired show through the eyes of the hosts, which fuses a travelogue with a passion for the film, culture, and the arts. It was conceptualized around the fresh and unique concept of covering world-renowned film festivals where a Filipino independent film has been featured or has competed. The show also intends to pay tribute to Filipino artists who have exemplified great talent in the international arena and in effect, display Filipino social and cultural values with the rest of the world.

The first episode was about the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina with Adolf Alix Jr.’s movie Chassis as the Philippine entry to the most famous film festival in Latin America.

There were exclusive interviews with Filipino and foreign actors and directors, clips of nominated films, awarding ceremonies, festival events and parties, exquisite sights, sumptuous cuisine, home-grown music and art vibrant nightlife.

Hosts are Lia Andrea Ramos (Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2006) and Mikael Daez. Mikael has been seen with Marian Rivera in Bampirella. He is shooting for Temptation Island as Solenn Heussaf’s partner and will tape for GMA 7’s Amaya as one of Marian’s leading men.

World Premiere airs Sundays at 11 to 11:30 p.m. on GMA News TV 11.
