Eula Valdez returns to TV via Mula Sa Puso on ABS-CBN. People remember her as Amor Powers in Pangako Sa’Yo. In Mula Sa Puso, she plays the contravida Selena Matias which was originally played by Princess Punzalan. Eula knew that she will always be compared to Princess but she promises to give her very best. “I don’t really want to think about it. Whatever the director (Wenn Deramas) tells me to do, I will do it. But you cannot please everybody. If people say, they like Selina of old, siguro naman may mag-kakagusto rin sa bago,” she said.
Sarah: It’s not for publicity
Last week on The Buzz, Sarah announced she has kissed and made up with Cristine Reyes. It was she who made the first move. But some quarters are not convinced of the sincerity of her intentions. They alleged that it is all for the publicity of her new film Catch Me… I’m In Love with Gerald Anderson. By the way, the movie is raking in at the box-office. “I know that some people do not understand why I did what I did and I apologize if I surprised them with my decision to make peace with Cristine. I am really very thankful for all those who continue to support me. I have long wanted to patch things up with Cristine. At hindi sinasadya napasabay sa pelikula. Hindi ko po kayo ma pe-please lahat,” she said.
Rayver Cruz, Cristine’s current boyfriend is happy that the two have reconciled. “Happy ako para sa aming lahat. It’s part of the past. Matagal na yon at di na kailangan balik-balikan.”
We agree, Rayver.
Angelica Jones airs side
It seems the war between Illac Diaz and Angelica Jones is still not over. In fact, it has just begun. On The Buzz last Sunday, Angelica who now sits as Laguna Board Member, told her side of the story. Yes, she admitted, she dated Illac for eight months. “Si Illac ang nangungulit sa akin and for eight months we dated. Siya lang yong dini-date ko,” she explained. During the eight months that they were dating, Angelica almost fell for Illac. “Noong nalaman ko sa best friend ko na nag de-date sila sa Hong Kong, best friend ko pa ha, nasaktan ako. Pinigilan ko ang sarili ko at sinabi ko, hindi pa ako ready magmahal uli.”
According to Angelica, she and Illac stopped communicating for a long time until he called her about the plastic bottle school project. Angelica negotiated with the provincial government of Laguna for the project. This is the reason why they were always seen together.
Angelica also denied the church incident where people alleged that Illac’s current girlfriend Julia Clarete confronted them when she saw Angelica and Illac inside a Laguna church. “It’s not true. Illac and I would see each other only if we have a meeting for the plastic bottle project.” She is not even aware she said that Julia was jealous of her. “Ang napansin ko lang lagi siyang tinatawagan. Lagi silang nagtatalo.”
But the heart of the matter according to Angelica is that she and Illac cannot agree on their project. “Illac says that the school project is done. Nagpa-interview pa siya na tapos na raw yong classroom at may magagamit na ang mga estudyante at teacher. But the truth is, walang chairs, walang blackboard, walang teacher. Ayoko siyang kunsintihin sa kasinungalingan niya.”
Illac has also been throwing issues about her. Particularly in regards to issuing receipts on the project. “I told him to talk to our treasurer, to talk to my staff and to my mother. But he keeps on texting me ng masasakit. Hindi raw ako pwedeng makatuntong sa site pag wala ako resibo.”
When Angelica visited the site, Illac was fuming mad, she said. “Ginusot niya yong MOA. And he shouted at me, ilabas mo ang pera, ilabas mo ang pera. I swear to God, this is the first time, na may nambastos sa akin na lalaki. I told Illac, basahin mo muna ang MOA at wag mo ako husgahan. Ang ginawa pa niya, naglabas pa siya ng tao, yong mga kababayan ko sa Barangay Malamig at sinabi niya, Halikayo mga kababayan. Kilala niyo ba itong Bokal niyo? Bokal Angelica Jones, magnanakaw.”
Illac was almost hit by Angelica’s brother. “Pinigilan po siya ng mga tao sa site at pinigilan ko na rin. Sabi ng kuya ko, pare babae yan. Igalang mo naman. Bokal yan. Para kang bakla.” Angelica also denied Illac was hit in the back by her mother.
Now, Angelica has filed a case against Illac for grave oral defamation. She brought various documents to The Buzz interview to prove that she has not among others received money from the project and has instead, spent her own money because, “this project is for my constituents in Laguna.”
I truly want to hear the side of my friend Illac Diaz who I have known to be a gentleman and a fiercely patriotic Filipino.
But here’s hoping that everything will turn out well for all parties concerned in this imbroglio.
