Stars party Hollywood style
MANILA, Philippines - It was a star-studded Pharex HealthCorp Grand Interns Night with celebrities and entertainers gracing the event for a night of glitz and glam at the Hollywood-themed event held at the SMX Convention Center.
With the theme “Glitterazzi,” the event served as an opportunity to engage the interns in learning more about better and affordable healthcare for Filipinos in collaboration with the country’s top medical organizations.
According to Tomas Marcelo Agana III, Pharex HealthCorp president and CEO, “The event has become an annual tradition for interns where they can learn about the latest developments in generic medicines and how it helps promote better healthcare for Filipinos. It’s also a great time for them to bond and enjoy with their colleagues.”
To clearly articulate the goal of helping medical interns pursue their field of specialization, a special audio-visual presentation was showcased which presented the respective fields of specialization of the top medical societies in the country. The presentations aimed to educate interns on the medical pursuits achieved by the organizations while helping them choose their preferred specializations.
Apart from educating interns on the value of high-quality and affordable healthcare, the event, which was hosted by Maggie Wilson and RX 93.1 DJ Gino Quillamor, opened with an upbeat performance by La Diva, which set the mood for a fun and fab night. Iya Villania gave a Lady Gaga musical number during a Guess the Glee-rics Game with medical interns led by DJ and TV personality Mr. Fu. Serenading guests were ASAP Sessionista Juris Fernandez and Survivor Philippines castaway Mico Aytona.
Guests were also treated to a mini-fashion show featuring the latest men’s and women’s collections of designers Veejay Floresca and Jerome Lorico. Female guests went wild when Daniel Matsunaga walked the runway, while male guests were awed by the beauty of Phoemela Baranda on the catwalk. Capping off the night was the musical performance by Imago.
The annual Interns’ Show Choir Competition was also a much-awaited event with teams composed of medical interns showcasing their singing and dancing talents for a chance to go home with big cash prizes.
Fun and glam summed up the event while empowering medical interns to become Pharex HealthCorp’s reliable partners in providing better healthcare.
