Kris and James loveless, so are Willie and Shalani

FUNFARE - Ricky Lo -

Despite the persistent rumors linking her to this guy and that guy, Kris Aquino insists that she’s loveless (meaning she has no boyfriend even if she’s “full of love,” having been born on Valentine’s Day).

One of them is Ted Failon, a widower, who, according to the tabs has been visiting Kris in the taping for The Price is Right, the new ABS-CBN game show which premiered late afternoon yesterday before TV Patrol. The other, Diether Ocampo, is also, like Kris and estranged husband James Yap, fancy-free having recently separated from his girlfriend, Rima Ostwani. Correction, please: Kris and James are, unlike Diether, not quite “fancy-free” yet because until the annulment case between them is decided by the court, they remain legally married to each other.

Asked who between Ted and Diet occupies a special place in her heart, Kris said, “Neither of them. They are both my very good friends. Diet is my favorite leading man and Ted will soon be my favorite partner in a talk show that we’ll be starting soon. I’m not ready to be in any form of a relationship.”

Diet is Kris’ leading man in Dalaw, the 2010 Metro Filmfest entry which she co-produced with Star Cinema. The movie has made more than P160M so far, which is half of the amount Kris and James are contesting in court.

Contacted by Funfare, James said that he, too, is loveless also notwithstanding the same persistent rumors linking him to this girl and that girl, or about him being seen cozy with some girls in a bar.

“Find me one,” James teased Funfare.

Asked what his type is, he said still joking, “Hindi bale maganda basta mabait.”

Last Sunday, James spent the whole day at his condo unit playing with son Baby James (a.k.a. Bimby). He has been doing it — weekends with Bimby — since the court allowed him not just visitation rights but shared custody for the boy with Kris.

Today, James is turning 29 while Kris turned 40 yesterday.

So how will he spend birthday, his first after he and Kris split in May last year?

“I will be with the kids at Nayon ng Kabataan,” said James who spent Valentine’s Day alone (daw!).

Kris celebrated her birthday last Sunday.

“We had Mass and prayer fellowship with family and close friends, then dinner at my home,” Kris told Funfare.

No, James was not invited.

As Bum Tenorio Jr. reported in a scoop yesterday, after dinner there was singing, led by Kris’ kuya, Pres. Noynoy Aquino, who sang two songs, Somewhere Down The Road and Fallin’.

Meanwhile, Willie Revillame and his Willing Willie co-host, Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad, also swear (to high heavens) that they are not yet “on” even if they are sometimes seen happy together, the last time having been at the PICC where they watched the concert of Kuh Ledesma with Hitmakers Nonoy Zuñiga, Rey Valera, Marco Sison and Rico J. Puno.

“Wala, eh,” said Willie when asked who his Valentine Girl was.

“Wala,” Shalani said, “puro work today.”

Maybe next year, or even earlier than that?

 “Dami naming dugo!”

That was Rosa Rosal, Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) governor, on the phone the other day, happily reporting that she had just collected 3,000 bags of fresh blood from students of TIP (Technological Institute of the Philippines).

“There are so many people needing blood,” added Rosa, and they include a bold actor who was rushed vomiting blood to the hospital a few days ago, diagnosed to have bleeding ulcers. Bloody times, yes!

Rosa lamented that the PNRC is not getting any support from the government so it has to rely on the generosity of the private sector. Among those who have donated equipment for blood storage were Ruffa Gutierrez and Lucy Torres-Gomez.

“And, of course, the people who have been donating blood,” said Rosa who, at 79, continues to bleed people.

If Pres. Noynoy Aquino is reading this, I hope he can set aside a budget for PNRC. In blood we trust, don’t we?
