MANILA, Philippines - Starting Jan. 16 at 10 p.m., more wizardly twists and turns come alive with the fourth season of Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place. In the farewell season, Alex (played by Selena Gomez) is tricked into announcing to the world that she and her brothers are wizards. Then a duplicating spell goes haywire changing Max’s life forever. An adorable 10-year-old wizard, Maxine, joins the cast and on top of these, Justin, Alex and Max hone their magic powers in order to win the wizard competition.
On Jan. 22, 12:30 p.m., it’s time to get hooked as things get fishy. Premiering is Fish Hooks, an imaginative, eye-catching and funny animated series revolving around three fish tweens — Milo, Bea and Oscar, as they navigate the choppy waters of high school. Together they experience typical life challenges and triumphs, including friendship, dating and sports, along with more atypical situations such as giant lobster attacks and, with the use of special land suits, school field trips to the hamster cages.
Created by children’s book illustrator and author Noah Jones, Fish Hooks is produced using an innovative mixture of digital animation and photo collage. It stars Chelsea Kane (Jonas L.A.) as Bea, Kyle Massey (Cory in the House) as Milo and Justin Roiland (The Sarah Silverman Program) as Oscar.
