Louise delos Reyes plays her 1st lead role

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Louise delos Reyes gets her big break as one of the Teen Royalties on GMA 7’s Sunday afternoon show, Reel Love presents Tween Hearts. Now, she plays her first lead role via the afternoon soap for the first quarter of 2011, the original drama series Alakdana.

Louise has certainly evolved as an artist and will become one of GMA’s hot properties this year after bagging the coveted-title role of Adana, a girl born with an extremely rare feature on her body: A scorpion tail. Despite her dark secret, Adana seeks to have a normal life but whenever danger threatens, her tail is ready to strike and stun its enemies.

While juggling between work and school, 17-year-old Louise has continuously wooed audiences after her stints in Ang Iibigin Ay Ikaw as the young Stella; Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin as Charina; Pilyang Kerubin as Isabel; and overachiever Luisa in Tween Hearts and in Party Pilipinas’ Sayaw Kabataan Crew. She has also appeared on TV commercials and was even nominated as Best New Movie Actress in PMPC’s Star Awards for Movies two years ago. Louise is a full-time second year resident academic scholar of Lyceum of the Philippines University.

As Louise takes her first real stab at drama with Alakdana, she will star alongside three talented leading men who will become her love interests in the afternoon show: Paulo Avelino as Billy, Ritchie Paul Gutierrez as Gab and Alden Richards as Joma.

Completing the cast are Jean Garcia, Matthew Mendoza, Jobelle Salvador, Joana Marie Tan, Perla Bautista, Racquel Montesa, Buboy Villar and Ian de Leon. The afternoon series will be directed by Mac Alejandre.
