Ellen Adarna on FHM

MANILA, Philippines –  If you don’t know who Ellen Adarna is by now, then you surely have been missing out on a great deal of what cyberspace has to offer. Truth be told, Ellen Adarna is proof of how the Internet can really make you famous. The first-time FHM cover girl, who hails from Cebu, blames the early days of social networking sites, when things were posted for public consumption. “People began adding me up using my profile. And then after that, lumala na, tinatawag na akong ‘baby,’ kasi daw girlfriend daw niya ako — na ginamit lang naman yung picture ko, and I was like, ‘Okey…ang labo naman nito!’ I was really irked by that,” she tells FHM. Since then, despite the fact that she was not a celebrity or a showbiz personality, Ellen has been a constant topic on online forums and photos of her continue to circulate over the Internet.

The Internet buzz surrounding Ellen caught the attention of a major network, and they set out to contact her with an offer to make her a star. When asked how they introduced the idea of show business to her, Ellen candidly answers, “Wala lang. Something like ‘GMA wants you.’ So yun na yun, ano pa ba gagawin mo sa GMA, hahaha!” Now, she is a part of Bubble Gang and Asar Talo Lahat Panalo. She will also be seen in an upcoming movie starring Vic Sotto and Bong Revilla.
